RICHMOND -- Veronica Lynn (Keaton) Murrin, 46, of Brunswick Road, passed away unexpectedly at home on Aug. 8, 2013. She was born on Jan. 29, 1967, the second born of seven children to Alben Keaton and the late Sandi Thomas of Akron, Ohio.

She grew up in Akron, and in Goldsboro, N.C. She attended schools in Akron, then moved to Goldsboro, where she also attended schools and a local community college.

She worked as a manager for the PIMMS Corp and a manager for the News America Marketing Corp. She also was a homemaker that loved to cook for others (especially around the holidays) as well as enjoyed music, her friends and the little things in life that most individuals overlooked or would ignore. She loved animals, specially her dogs and the one called "Little Man." She enjoyed working and making jewelry with daughter Samantha, watching and going to all the sports events for her son Eric cheering him on and, to even include getting up early and going to Opening Day hunters' breakfast each hunting season with her husband Don and friends. She also loved doing gardening work and making crafts.

She enjoyed spending time with family and with friends. She loved get-togethers and cook-outs with what she called her adopted families here in Maine.

Veronica will be lovingly remembered for her contagious smile and for behind her beautiful smile was a witty sense of humor. She always seemed to make someone laugh or smile.

She was predeceased by her mother, Sandi Thomas, of Akron; and a sister, Valerie Kellett, of Columbus, Ga..

She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Murrin, of 24 years; her son, Eric Murrin; daughter Samantha Collins and her companion, Jason Cray, of Richmond; her son, Toby Sugg, and his fiancee, Sherry, of Goldsboro; and her three grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor and Emily; two sisters: Vanessa and Victoria; brothers: Alben Keaton, of Akron, and Charles Schmidt, of Akron; her nephew, Eddie Keaton, of Jacksonville, Fla.; as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.

At her request and that of her family, there will be no visiting hours. A special service will be held at a later date with family and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Kennebec Humane Society.
