RICHMOND - Carol Ann (Emmons) Carver, 73, of Kimball Street, passed away January 12, 2020 at the home of her daughter, Brenda in Litchfield along with her other two children Gayla and Paul by her side.

She was born October 2,1946, in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of William E. and Lillian (Freeman) Emmons of Richmond.      

Carol attended Richmond schools. In 1971, she married Weston P. Carver Jr.

Carol had a variety of jobs over the years. She worked at Merrymeeting Gardens, Etonic Shoe Shop, Clarostat, Popp's Farm and 3 North Pleasant as an Aide.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, camping, playing cards and her time working with the elderly. She also enjoyed working on her many craft projects and puzzles. Carol always looked forward to August when the family gathering would take place in Smithfield.
She also enjoyed going out to eat with her friends and especially her lifetime best friend/sister-in-Iaw Sharon Carver.

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Weston, in 2010; her infant son, Weston Edward Emmons; her parents and a brother, William Edward Emmons Jr.

Survivors include her children, Gayla and husband Jessie Chandler of Richmond, Brenda Emmons and her companion, Arthur, of Litchfield, and son Paul Carver and wife Susan of Richmond; four brothers, Ronald Emmons Sr., and wife Martha of Richmond, Gary Emmons Sr., and wife Sandra of Richmond, Robert Emmons Sr., of Augusta and Richard Emmons Sr., and wife Sally of Abbot; Three step children, Weston, Crystal and Sue; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 11 step grandchildren, eleven step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with many great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her beloved sister-in-law, Sandy for all her help, Dr. Linda Hermans for all her years of care and CHANS Hospice.

 A celebration of life will take place, Sunday, January 26^th from 1pm to 4pm at the Litchfield Sportsmen’s  Club 2261 Hallowell Rd. Litchfield.

Carol and her husband, Weston, will be buried at the Cotton Cemetery in the spring.
