Dorothy E. Bodge, 76, of Wiscasset, passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Whitefield on April 5, 1943, she was the youngest of six children born to Richard and Mildred Russell.
She enjoyed following friends and family on Facebook, looking at the pictures, camping with family and friends in Kokadjo while looking for moose, coloring on her iPad, taking dozens of pictures of family and friends and most of all, spending her time with family.
She is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Mildred Russell; brother, Robert Russell Sr.; and sister, Beverly Trask.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Bodge; daughters, Shelley Bailey and husband Jerry Bailey, and Karen Thayer; son, David Bodge; stepdaughters, Rhonda, Lisa, Stacy, and Gayle; sisters, Louise Dancer and Gloria Bailey; brother, Phillip Russell; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at the Whitefield Cemetery, Route 218, on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at the Alna Fire Department.
