Dresden – Sharon Lee Rackliff, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Dresden on June 17, 2017. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on September 28, 1944 a daughter of Sam and Alice (Haskell) Trussell. 
She was educated in local schools and went on to be a homemaker raising her family. 

Sharon enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing, which she was known for making her own clothes. She loved all of her many pets throughout her life. Sharon was a devout Christian attending the Grace Bible Church in Gorham where she was especially fond of Pastor Bob White's sermons. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and the Lions Club. 

Sharon is survived by her children Scott Rackliff, Catherine Buechler and her husband Ken and a special daughter-in-law Sarah Rackliff as well as her grandchildren Cody, Kimberly, Brittany, Courtney and Victoria. She also leaves her siblings; Cheryl Brunell, Linda Parks, Beverly Accord, Mike Trussell and special friends Clarice Taylor and Barbara "Mother"  Shorette.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents Sam Trussell in 2006, Alice Trussell in 2011 and her husband Gerald Rackliff in 1999. 

Services for Sharon will be held at 11:45 am on Friday, July 28 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, Maine followed by a celebration of life in Dresden. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter 27 Atlantic Hwy, Edgecomb, ME 04556 or to a shelter of your choice.
