Richmond-Gilbert H. Tarbox, 84, of the Brown Rd. died on Friday, July 10, 2015 at
his home with his family by side.

He was born in Madawaska on July 21, 1930 the son of Harry and Sadie Tarbox.

Gil proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as an automobile and diesel mechanic for Brooks and Drews. Gil later worked at Statler Tissue and Budget Rent a Car.

Gil enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, gardening, being outside, spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, his son Gilbert "Bitsy" Tarbox Jr., brothers and sister. Gil is survived by his wife of 63 years Ruby Tarbox, son David Tarbox and wife Tina, Dean Tarbox, grandchildren Lindsay Tarbox and companion Earl Webber, Allison Tarbox, Amanda Asfahl and husband Justin, great grandchildren Dustin, Avery, Brody, several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 18th at 10am at the United Methodist Church in Richmond. A gathering will follow at the church dining hall.
